The Segment Centrifugal Clutch uses centrifugal force to connect two different concentric shafts. It found its application in the chain saw, lawn mower, go-karts, chainsaws, and mini bikes which helps the engine to prevent from stalling. It comprises flyweights placed on profiled hub CD located axially and held by tension springs that are hooked into the linings. Every lining has a crimp on its surface which helps it to be located as well as prevent it from moving sideways. At high speed, the linings contact the clutch drum which results friction that allows the transmission of the torque.
